Sellout of the Brazilian Amazon Forest

Temer's Government ( accused of corruption!) is open  47,000 sq Km of the Amazon to new mining projects: copper, niquel and gold  will be extracted in the Renca protected region where indigenous people are living.

Mining in the area would lead to demographic explosions, deforestation, water resources destruction, loss of biodiversity and territorial conflicts. This drammatic decision will devastate the local indigenous culture for ever.

The biggest attack on the Amazon of the past 50 years.

Norway has issued a blunt threat to Brazil that if rising deforestation in the Amazon rainforest is not reversed, its billion-dollar financial assistance will fall to zero.

We hope other countries will press Brazialian Government to step back.

We, as civil society, can share this sad new and organize some pacific actions to claim Temer's position against nature and indigenous community.
